- Dr. Elissa Epel, Ph.D., a renowned expert in stress, aging, and mind-body health, serves as a professor at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and is the author of The Telomere Effect. She has also engaged in insightful discussions with His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama on the topic of stress and well-being.
- Nichol Chase, a skilled yoga and meditation educator, is the founder of the Wisdom Building Method Yoga School. Nichol has a profound connection to the arts of movement, music, and contemplation, integrating these practices into her teachings and life philosophy.

Speaker Bios:
Dr. Elissa Epel: Dr. Epel is a leading expert in how stress influences aging and health. She is the Vice Chair of Psychology and directs the UCSF Aging Metabolism Emotions Center. As the author of The Telomere Effect and The Stress Prescription, Dr. Epel’s pioneering research examines how mind-body practices like meditation can mitigate the negative effects of stress and slow down the aging process. She is dedicated to empowering individuals to improve their health through lifestyle changes and psychological strategies.
Nichol Joy Chase: An experienced yoga and meditation educator, Nichol is known for integrating movement, singing, and contemplation into her life’s work. She is a Garrison Institute Fellow and developed a trauma-sensitive yoga program for her capstone project. As the founder of the Wisdom Building Method Yoga School, Nichol is also a faculty member and teacher trainer for several other yoga schools, where she shares her expertise in mindful practices.
