Are you ready to elevate your homebrewing skills? Brew It Yourself 102 is designed for home brewers who want to master the advanced full-grain brewing method. This hands-on course will equip you with professional techniques to craft exceptional beer right at home. By the end of the class, you’ll walk away with a case of your own beer and the confidence to brew full-grain batches independently.

Held in the Mercurius Brewing secret beer laboratory, this course takes you through every step of the full-grain brewing process. You’ll begin by creating a yeast starter to ensure your yeast is primed for fermentation. Together, the class will brew two 5-gallon batches of beer, using both bottle carbonation and force carbonation in a keg. You’ll also get the chance to can some of the beer you make.

Throughout the brewing process, we’ll dive into the science behind brewing, explore the equipment options, and even examine yeast under a microscope to learn cell counting and viability testing, offering a deeper understanding of fermentation. This class is designed for those with basic brewing knowledge, whether you’ve brewed using extract or full grain, or completed our Brew It Yourself 101 course.

What makes this course truly unique? You’ll be guided by a professional brewer who has taught over 1,300 people how to brew, providing insights that go beyond what other homebrewing classes cover. The small class size (max of 8 people) ensures plenty of time for questions and personalized instruction.
