This hands-on course combines on-bike and scooter instruction, preparing students to confidently navigate increasingly high-traffic streets. The focus of the class is on developing essential street-riding techniques that prioritize safety, communication, and the ability to handle various urban traffic situations.

Throughout the course, participants will practice vital skills such as:

  • Taking a Full Traffic Lane: Learn how to safely and assertively occupy a full lane when necessary, ensuring visibility and safety in busy traffic.
  • Lane Changes: Master the techniques of changing lanes in a controlled, predictable manner, crucial for riding in high-volume traffic.
  • Vehicle Left Turns: Gain confidence in executing left turns from the middle of the street, mimicking the behavior of cars for optimal safety.
  • Box Turns: Practice this safer alternative to direct left turns, especially useful at busy intersections.
  • Signaling and Lane Positioning: Learn how to clearly communicate your intentions to drivers and other road users through proper hand signals and strategic lane positioning.
