Delve into the transformative practice of Soma Nidra: Cellular Breath, a workshop designed to explore the profound relationship between your breath and the entire body, down to the molecular level. In this session, participants will investigate how breath interacts with the body’s cells, while also examining the interplay between gravity, space, and the experiential foundations of self-awareness and connection with others. Through this exploration, you’ll uncover the physiological and poetic dimensions of your body’s metabolic processes, from the microscopic to the macroscopic.

This workshop is part of Soma Nidra: Body Tripping through the Communities of You, a monthly series that invites participants to embark on deep, multi-scale journeys into embodied anatomy. Each workshop in the series combines gentle movement, Yin and Restorative Yoga, and Soma Nidra—a unique somatic adaptation of the ancient Yoga Nidra practice, developed by Bex Naj. Unlike traditional Yoga Nidra, Soma Nidra roots the experience in the felt sensations of the body, creating a bridge between the conscious and unconscious mind through deeply restful storytelling. By anchoring these stories in the dynamic awareness of breath and body, participants are guided into a state of profound relaxation and self-discovery.

Throughout the series, you’ll explore the inner landscapes of your body through the lenses of western anatomy, physiology, and embryology, while integrating these insights into energetic practices that allow you to release tension, relax deeply, and unlock the hidden wisdom residing within. Drawing and journaling prompts will often accompany these sessions, helping you to integrate the dreamlike revelations and wisdom revealed by your body.

This workshop is suitable for all levels, offering a nurturing environment for both beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. Participants are encouraged to wear warm, comfortable layers that allow for gentle movement. Yoga props, drawing materials, and journals will be provided, but attendees are welcome to bring their own mat, an extra blanket, or any other personal items that make their experience more comfortable.

Join this evening of embodied inquiry and inner discovery, where your breath becomes a gateway to a deeper understanding of the body’s wisdom, and each cell’s dance with space, gravity, and self-expression.
