This unique and playful event is designed for anyone interested in learning, giving, and receiving the ancient healing techniques of Thai Massage. Participants can attend solo or bring a partner, as the workshop includes movement exercises and effective communication practices.
Thai Massage is a traditional healing art that combines yoga-like body postures with massage techniques, following a network of energy lines that run throughout the body. This holistic approach promotes physical and mental wellness by increasing flexibility, relieving tension, and enhancing breath awareness.
What Participants Will Learn:
- How to guide a partner through gentle assisted stretches, increasing range of motion and flexibility.
- Techniques for using body weight and rhythmic pressure with hands, elbows, knees, and feet to apply massage effortlessly and effectively.
- Essential body mechanics to ensure the safety of both the giver and receiver during the massage.
- Skills for building connection and trust through clear communication, including how to give and receive feedback during the massage.
- The practice of mindfulness and sacred presence, cultivating a deeper sense of awareness and calm in a safe, supportive environment.
- The physical and emotional benefits of Thai Massage, from relieving deep muscular tension to improving overall wellness and connection with others.
