Seeking to empower yourself and others through the transformative power of yoga? This 15-hour training offers a unique blend of yoga, mental health insights, and social justice – perfect for yoga teachers (all levels welcome!), mental health professionals, and anyone passionate about trauma-informed healing.
Liberation and Social Equity:
This program goes beyond typical training. It centers around liberation and decolonization of both trauma work and yoga practice. Its mission is to increase social equity in yoga and mental health services, ensuring inclusivity and cultural responsiveness.
Cultivating Healing Communities:
This training equips you with the tools to build trauma-conscious relationships within your community. Through interactive learning, discussions, movement, and breathwork, you’ll gain valuable insight into:
- Understanding Trauma: Learn about trauma, stress, and the nervous system through the lens of Polyvagal Theory.
- Yoga for Healing: Explore current practices in yoga therapy for effectively addressing trauma and stress.
- Social Justice in Yoga: Deepen your understanding of implicit bias, systemic trauma, and cultural appropriation to create a more equitable yoga space.

Open to All:
This training welcomes yoga teachers (all levels!), yoga students, and mental health professionals. Prior yoga experience (6 months recommended) is beneficial but not required.
Comprehensive Curriculum:
The training provides a well-rounded learning experience, covering topics like:
- Defining trauma and stress
- Polyvagal Theory and nervous system states
- Trauma-informed yoga therapy practices
- Social justice within yoga practices
- Self-care strategies for stress management
- Building a trauma-conscious lifestyle

- Training Dates: Friday, 6:00pm-8:00pm; Saturday, 1pm-6:30pm (w/ 30min break); Sunday, 12pm-5:30pm (w/ 30min break)
- Total Hours: 12 contact hours + 3 non-contact hours (home study)

- Dr. Mini Rattu: Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Certified Yoga Instructor. Dr. Rattu specializes in trauma and stress-related disorders, integrating cognitive-behavioral therapy with yoga and mindfulness.
