Event Type
This specialized recovery class is designed to alleviate tension and restore mobility, particularly focusing on the hips, lower back, and pelvis, while also fostering full-body relaxation. Whether tight hips are caused by prolonged sitting, physical activity, or stress, this session offers an effective approach to ease stiffness and improve overall movement.
Throughout the session, participants will utilize foam rollers, TuneUp massage balls, and deep stretches to address tight fascia and muscles surrounding the hip area. In addition to targeting the specific areas of tension, the class incorporates techniques that promote relaxation throughout the entire body, allowing for a deeper release and lasting benefits. Each session begins with calming breathwork, settling the nervous system, and concludes with restorative stretches that leave participants feeling open, grounded, and refreshed.
Why Focus on the Hips?
The fascia around the hips plays a crucial role in supporting the core, stabilizing the spine, and facilitating smooth, coordinated movement. Chronic tightness in this area can lead to pain in other parts of the body, including the lower back, knees, and even the shoulders. Releasing tension in the hips not only supports physical health but also provides emotional benefits. The hips are known to store stress and emotional energy, so relieving tightness here can promote a powerful sense of emotional release.
Benefits of the Class:
- Relief from tension in the hips, lower back, and pelvis
- Improved posture, alignment, and range of motion
- Increased freedom of movement and full-body elasticity
- Enhanced circulation and nervous system balance
- A calm mind and a relaxed body
This class offers more than just physical benefits—it’s a somatic experience aimed at deepening the connection between body and mind. As the hips store emotional energy, releasing tension here can bring a sense of lightness and emotional clarity. It’s a practice that resets both the physical and emotional foundation, leaving participants feeling deeply restored, centered, and as light as a peaceful, contented spirit.
Why Does Glow Care About Fascia?
Fascia is a thin, connective tissue that encases every muscle, bone, and organ in the body. It houses the lymphatic network and the neural network, essentially serving as the body’s internal web. When fascia becomes tight or thickened, it causes a loss of elasticity, leading to pain, chronic tension, and even arthritis in the joints. At Glow, we prioritize fascia care as a way to improve overall body function and health.
