Step into a peaceful sanctuary with Wellness in the Park, a rejuvenating outdoor experience hosted by Serving Sundays. Designed for wellness seekers eager to transform their “self-care Sundays” into meaningful journeys of self-discovery, serving Sundays fosters a sense of belonging and community among like-minded individuals. This gathering invites participants to unwind, explore their inner selves, and connect with others in an environment that encourages self-care and shared growth.

Programming for Sunday, October 6th:

Time: 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM PST
Optional Community Mixer from 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM

This event includes:

  • Meditation: Ground yourself with a guided inward meditation focused on restoring balance and clarity.
  • Journaling: Intentional, reflective journaling led by Karrie Larson, with prompts centered around the theme Bold Shifts – Embracing New Paths.
  • Mindful Movement: Somatic embodiment practice led by Taylor Chang. Experience gentle, playful movement designed to help you explore your inner world without the constraints of rigid techniques, celebrating freedom and transformation.
  • Community Mixer: Connect with fellow participants while enjoying functional kava mocktails with Leilo.

Event Theme: Bold Shifts – Embracing New Paths

  • Restore: A meditative inward journey that will help you release tension and realign.
  • Reflect: Journaling with purposeful prompts to help you explore how bold shifts can lead to new paths in your life.
  • Move Mindfully: Somatic embodiment allows you to flow freely through yoga and movement, embracing change with playfulness and ease.
  • Connect: The optional mixer offers an opportunity to meet kindred spirits and expand your circle, all while sipping on refreshing, non-alcoholic kava beverages.

What to Bring:

  • Yoga mat and journal (if you’ve joined Serving Sundays before, bring your dedicated journal)
  • Wear layers to adapt to San Francisco’s unpredictable weather
  • Bring water and sunscreen
  • Give yourself plenty of time to find parking

Pro Tip: Neutral-toned active wear and comfortable layers are recommended to create a soothing and calming atmosphere.

How This Event Differs from Other Serving Sunday Gatherings:

Unlike some of our larger events, Wellness in the Park is designed to immerse participants in nature, allowing them to experience the healing power of fresh air and greenery. Surrounded by trees and water, the event provides an intimate setting for restorative movement, mindfulness practices, and heartfelt conversations, all while ensuring accessibility for all attendees on their wellness journey.
