Yoga Foundations with Hannah Williams: Strengthen Your Practice

Purusha invites students to join Yoga Foundations, a class led by Hannah Williams, designed for practitioners of all levels—whether new to yoga or experienced. Revisiting the fundamentals of yoga not only helps beginners get started but also offers seasoned yogis an opportunity to refine and fine-tune their practice.

In this class, students will learn how to link breath work with mindful movement to deepen and enrich their Vinyasa flow. The class will break down familiar Vinyasa sequences with ample time for exploring alignment, experimenting with props, and mastering both new and familiar postures. Transitioning through poses with safety and awareness will be emphasized, with time devoted to core foundational postures and alignment cues.

What to Expect:

  • Warm-up Series: General and targeted warm-ups to prepare the body.
  • Building Blocks: Break down poses and transitions to enhance awareness and confidence.
  • Vinyasa Flow: Build up to a classic flow and end with time to wind down and meditate.
  • Focus: Foundational postures, alignment cues, and space to integrate knowledge into practice.

Hannah Williams, a dedicated teacher and student of Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin yoga, brings a trauma-informed and accessible approach to her teachings. With a focus on social justice and unity, her classes provide a safe and inclusive environment for personal and collective healing.
