Replenishing the Body for Winter: A Yin Yoga Workshop with Sheana
As winter settles in, nature calls for a time of stillness, introspection, and renewal. However, modern life often encourages individuals to resist this natural rhythm, pushing forward despite the season’s invitation to slow down.
In the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), winter is deeply connected to the kidneys, which serve as the body’s reservoir of vital energy, or Qi. This time of year can bring challenges such as lower back tension, fatigue, and emotional imbalances, including heightened fear and anxiety. When left unaddressed, these imbalances can deplete energy reserves, making it more difficult to transition into the vitality of spring.
This immersive two-hour Yin Yoga workshop, guided by Sheana, offers a restorative experience designed to nurture the body’s natural rhythms, replenish Qi, and foster inner balance. Participants will engage in a series of deeply nourishing practices, including:
- Yin Yoga postures that target the Kidney and Bladder meridians, gently opening the back body and inner thighs to enhance energy flow.
- Pranayama (breathwork) and guided meditation to cultivate a sacred space for relaxation, self-reflection, and emotional release.
- Psycho-spiritual inquiry, encouraging individuals to explore and dismantle limiting beliefs related to fear and anxiety.
- Restorative Yoga, allowing the body to fully absorb and integrate the benefits of the practice.
- Sound Healing therapy, using soothing vibrations to regulate the nervous system, induce deep relaxation, and restore inner harmony.
By the end of this experience, participants will leave feeling deeply replenished, grounded, and more attuned to winter’s unique gifts—ready to embrace the season with openness and ease.
This workshop welcomes practitioners of all levels, including beginners.
